So for today's late update, I've been running lights for a play called "Rehearsal for Murder." I can't really tell you what it's about, or who did it. But I find the mystery interesting because you must make the audience believe in your lies, believe that your lies are truths. Good writers can do it and do it well. I do not claim to be among that group in the least, but I'd like to think I have it in me to write something in that vein.
The MacArthur Files is meant to be in that vein, however I don't think my writing, nor the show is up to the task at taking on mystery just yet. So it's probably for the best, that even though I've written and shot a pilot, I must wait until everything is set for MacArthur Files. That is of course if Grimm fails completely. If it doesn't, then we'll see, but til then, we play the waiting game.
As an added note, I've been writing today. I wouldn't say a lot, but it's something more solid than I've had in months. It's not a scene, or a short story, it's more of a post for that writers group. But I think it's progress nonetheless.
